Hi pals. Thank you for visiting my blog. In case you don't know me - I'm Jonny - I'm a husband, dog dad, lawyer and very recently - a Londoner in Johannesburg.

Johannesburg wasn't part of my life plan.  I'm here because of a work opportunity that was presented to my husband to relocate here. Excited by the prospect of living anywhere but London, we decided to take the leap and move to a city which we had never visited before and ignore everyone who casted doubt over the idea.​

Having spent the majority of my 32 years living in my comfy corner of South East London, this move is a huge adaptation for me but one I am throwing myself into. This blog isn't a guide to "starting over" or a love letter to my reinvention. It's just a space to document my move and try to make sense of this unconventional time of my life - and share it with anyone who is remotely interested.

So welcome to my life at 26° South - a Londoner's attempt to becoming a Jozi.
