Notes from a Londoner in Johannesburg

Life at 26° South
About
Hi pals. Thank you for visiting my blog. In case you don't know me - I'm Jonny - I'm a husband, dog dad, lawyer and very recently - a Londoner in Johannesburg.
Johannesburg wasn't part of my life plan. I'm here because of a work opportunity that was presented to my husband to relocate here. Excited by the prospect of living anywhere but London, we decided to take the leap and move to a city which we had never visited before and ignore everyone who casted doubt over the idea.
Having spent the majority of my 32 years living in my comfy corner of South East London, this move is a huge adaptation for me but one I am throwing myself into. This blog isn't a guide to "starting over" or a love letter to my reinvention. It's just a space to document my move and try to make sense of this unconventional time of my life - and share it with anyone who is remotely interested.
So welcome to my life at 26° South - a Londoner's attempt to becoming a Jozi.
